It's official. I've become a REALTOR®
Hello Dear Community,
Since last summer, I’ve been undergoing a major transition which has shaken up my world a little bit—in a good way!
I’ve been reflecting on the blessings and challenges of the last decade, as well as envisioning and planting seeds for the next decade of this adventure in human form.
With that, today I’m sharing an exciting announcement—after 2 years of preparation I’ve officially received my real estate license, and have become a REALTOR®!
Real estate is my 3rd major career move (following 10 years in marketing and 10 years in coaching). I’ve partnered with an inspiring Asian female realtor whom I’ve known for several years—Andi Pham, Founder and Managing Broker of Reign Realty.
We are a boutique brokerage with a big vision to transform the industry by going beyond the transaction, serving with care and integrity, and putting the client first, no matter what.
Our office is based in Surrey but we serve clients all over the Lower Mainland.
You might be curious how I got into real estate. It’s a funny story, actually… it definitely wasn’t “planned”. In the next few months, I’ll be sharing more about the journey.
I’m so excited for this new direction! It is in full alignment with everything I want to create personally, professionally and financially. After 10 colourful years, I’ll be semi-retiring from business coaching and diving into real estate full-time. There’s lots to learn, of course. I look forward to sharing everything I know, and learning more about your real estate needs.
Some of you know my husband Eric (aka “Honey Bear”) has been a realtor for two years now, and works with Keller Williams International (Ocean Realty), the world’s leading real estate company.
Together we are helping individuals, couples and families land the home of their dreams—or at least a step closer to it, or the next right upgrade. We truly believe in being a friendly resource to demystify what can often be confusing and conflicting messages about real estate, and give you honest and solid advice.
So if you or someone you know is thinking of buying or selling a home, send us a note or give us a call. We’re here to listen to your situation and answer any questions the best we can, with zero obligation to work with us (although we think you’ll end up wanting to ;).
In the last 6 months, I have been quietly transitioning out of coaching and into real estate. Now that it’s officially public, you deserve to know answers to a few FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions) from you, my community:
1.Will you still be doing coaching?
The real answer is that you can’t take coaching out of me, and I will always integrate the spirit of coaching in everything I do.
The long-view answer is that I have a feeling I will return to/evolve how I do coaching in some manner in the future, perhaps after a number of years. What that looks like, I will leave up to the creative flow of life.
The short-term, practical answer is that “it depends”. If you are a current or past client, don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere and I’m always here to support. Whether it’s a tune-up session or short-term intensive, we can chat about it and make it workable. In the interest of committing fully to my real estate journey, I won’t be actively seeking new coaching clients for the foreseeable future, but I’m completely open for new real estate clients!
2. When is your next event or workshop?! Can you please do ____ type of event?
As you know, events and workshops are a staple in this community. They also take time and effort to organize. In the last few months, I’ve taken a break from events, but the good news is that I will keep doing events! Going forward they will be more real estate and lifestyle focused, and less about business, leadership and careers. There will be those ones occasionally, however, depending on interest and relevance. Stay tuned for more updates about future events, workshops and retreats.
3. Do you have a website / newsletter / what is your social handles for real estate?
My real estate online presence is forthcoming, but for now you can reach me at rozraindancer@reignreality.ca or 604-723-1727 (call/text).
You can check out my virtual business card at reignrealty.ca/roz.
To make it easier on you and me, I will keep my current mailing list/newsletter (yay, no migrations and no new sign-ups).
The content of my news and reviews will evolve it to a real estate and holistic lifestyle focus, along with some of my favourite business/leadership topics from time to time.
So, if you’re only here for the business stuff and nothing else, go ahead and unsubscribe, I won’t mind! Although I hope you stick around, “wait and see” what I’ve been cooking up and rolling out in the coming months.
My social media handle has changed to @raindancerhomes (IG), /raindancerhomes (FB), and /rozraindancer (LI).
4. Now that you mention it, I have been thinking about buying a home / upgrading / downsizing / selling my house. When is a good time?! I’ve heard ___ , ___ , ___ (reasons to not do it right now), what do you think?!
This is such a common question. Trust me, I’ve been in this boat myself. Honey Bear and I waited to buy, and we wish we had done it sooner… even decades sooner for us individually. The best time to take the first action steps is right now, as soon as you start considering it more than a few times, you know there is an intent there. Pay attention to it, get your questions answered, and don’t sit on it for too long. You can use discernment as to when you can prepare and line everything up for the transaction (it’s a journey for sure), but the earlier you can engage in the process, the more prepared and empowered you will be… and you will be amazed at how things simply align once you’re ready. So, don’t hesitate to reach out even if you think “it’s just an idea”.
Until next time, thanks for hearing my news and I look forward to catching up with you soon!
Much love and many blessings,
Rosalyn C. RainDancer
