It's Time For A New Form Of Leadership In the World
Today, the very definition of power is shifting from external to internal standards.
It’s time for a new form leadership in the world, the kind that begins with right relationship.
We need leaders who are in touch with who they are at the soul level, who understands that their charge is to liberate themselves and others. We need leaders who are humble enough to defer to a divine power, a mysterious masterful order of things, the great intelligence of infinite love and wisdom. They don’t have to have all the answers, but rather can guide others to theirs.
The leader of the 21st century is centered in their heart space. They have made the longest and perhaps the most challenging journey ~ head bowing to the heart. Logic surrenders to love and wisdom. The new form of leadership is not only soul-infused, Spirit-led and heart-centered, it is also visceral and embodied.
Leaders must be connected to all parts of themselves including their bodies. They are wise enough to know that the body keeps the score, not the mind. Leaders of the future are tapped into their senses and receive information from all of them, not just their mind. The new form of leadership embraces the wisdom of listening to the body, rewilding our senses, even “reverting” to our animalistic and primal instincts that we have so methodically divorced ourselves from. The leader can sense, from a place of base instinct, how others are feeling, which sharpens their empathic abilities.
Not only is the leader body-affirming, they are consciously connected to cultivating and harnessing their sexual energy as an ever-present generator of vitality and creativity. Yes, the leader of the future is “lit up” at all levels.
It used to be that power was measured by masculine standards and the ‘external’ visible markers of success, such as money, status, position/title, authority and control. Today, the very definition of power is shifting from external to internal standards.
Power is the ability to create inner safety and security within oneself regardless of outside circumstances. Power is sourcing from Spirit and trusting the guidance that comes into one’s heart. Rather than looking to anything outside to affirm our direction, the powerful leader turns within. Not only that, they have create such a safe space within themselves that they show up as safe harbours for the people around them. More than ever, people are looking for safety. More than ever, people are hungry for authenticity. More than ever, people have high standards for trust.
The world needs a new kind of leadership, one that is transformative. No longer are power and control the name of the game. Success is measured by how much one is able to transform oneself and others. We need more leaders who are natural alchemists, skilled at turning crises into opportunities, extracting the gold from the dross, shining light on the pearl formed from the grit of the oyster.
It’s time for a new kind of leadership in the world, the kind that is rooted in love, watered by safety and authenticity, and is destined to change the world.
