It’s Vulnerable To Be Visible, But It’s Worth It If You Have A Mission & Message That Changes Lives
Call for Real & Inspiring Stories from BIPOC Leaders, Changemakers & Everyday Hero(ine)s ~ Get Published in the Pursuit 365 Book!
This year one of my growth edges is to increase my reach and impact, and that means making decisions on a daily basis to step up, put myself and my message out there, and be even more visible than I would otherwise be comfortable with.
If you’ve ever shared any creative pursuit, innovative venture or even your honest feelings to someone, you know how vulnerable it can feel.
Today I have exciting (yet vulnerable) news to share. First and foremost, I’m mostly excited (!!!) that my personal story will be featured in the beautiful and inspiring book Pursuit 365 (2022 Edition), to be launched on June 1st.
This would be my second time that my story being featured in a book. In 2018, I shared my father-daughter story in the Family Tree series published by my dear friend Rebecca Harrison. It was a careful and vulnerable process for me to make the decision to be part of the book, but I was ever so glad that I did. I can’t even imagine my life without having had that wonderful experience, or dear Rebecca as part of my inner circle!
So now that I’ve done it once, I didn’t even think twice when the visionary and inspiring Shelly-Lynn Hughes, Founder & Publisher of Pursuit 365, invited me to be part of her book Pursuit 365 this year. This one is about showcasing inspiring stories of real people in their pursuit of success, happiness and achievement. So I am thrilled and grateful!
What feels vulnerable is that I know that its reach will be even bigger than the first time, and the visibility of that is something I haven’t experienced before.
What feels even more vulnerable is sharing this opportunity with you, and inviting you to join me on this journey of stepping up in being more visible and sharing your message.
And we all know that we can’t do this alone.
